a) Overtime Name


  • This field refers to the desired Custom Overtime name. Example: Overtime 2.5 Custom

b) Deduction Type


  • This field must be filled by HR/Admin
  • If not filled, the MySyarikat system cannot calculate the correct Overtime amount
  • There are two types: Percentage By Salary & RM per Hour


Deduction Type


i. Percentage by Salary


This refers to the following formula:


  • Basic or Gross Salary / 26 days / Total working hours (8 or 7.5 hours) = y
  • y multiplied by the rate set on the Overtime Rate = z
  • z is the Overtime amount for the employee


ii. RM per Hour


  • This refers to the rate set on the Overtime Rate
  • Example: if set to 10, the system will calculate 1 hour of Overtime as RM10
  • If the employee applies for 4 hours of Overtime, the system will calculate the Overtime amount as RM40 (RM10 x 4 hours)


c) Included Employee


Included Employee


  • This field must also be filled
  • If this field is left empty, this Custom Overtime Rate will not be auto assigned to any employee
  • The names of employees filled in this field will be affected by this Custom Overtime Rate, and if they apply for Overtime at any rate (Normal/Rest Day/Off Day/Public Holiday), the system will calculate them only for the created rate

d) Remark


  • This field is optional. Any type of remark can be entered as desired
