# [Version 3.0 EN] Overtime Explanation By Act on System MySyarikat

* Introducing the latest function from the MySyarikat system, namely Overtime Calculation by Act. Now the calculation of staff overtime by act can be recorded in the MySyarikat system automatically through "Attendance Overtime" only


*  To activate the Overtime Calculation by Act function, you need to contact MySyarikat Customer Support first to activated 



||| Note: Overtime by Act only works in "Attendance Overtime", which is the overtime calculation through employee clock in/clock out only.

Explanation regarding Overtime Calculation by Act:

| Overtime on Regular Working Days exceeding after standard working hours

1. Rate 1.5
__Situation __: 

Qaasyaf on standard working hours = 8.30 am - 5.30 pm

Qaasyaf working hours after working hours = 5.30 pm to 8.00 pm

Total Working Hours is 2 hours 30 minutes = 2.5 (setting without "buffer" and no maximum working hours)

Qaasyaf basic salary = RM4500

__How to calculate__

Step 1: Find Hourly Rate Salary

(Monthly Rate Salary / 26) / 8 standard working hours

RM4500/26/8 = RM21.63

Step 2: Calculate Overtime

Hourly Rate Salary * Total Overtime Hours * Rate

RM21.63 * 2.5 * 1.5 = RM81.12

| Overtime on Rest Days/Holidays during standard working hours

2. OT less than 4 hours > rate 0.5/half day salary
__Situation:__

Qaasyaf's regular working hours = 8.30 am - 5.30 pm

Qaasyaf's regular working hours during regular working hours = 11 am - 1 pm

Total Regular Working Hours is 2 hours = 2.0

Qaasyaf's basic salary = RM4500

__How to calculate__

Step 1: Find Regular Rate Salary

Regular Rate Salary = Monthly Rate Salary / 26

RM4500 / 26 = RM173.07

Step 2: Calculate Overtime

Overtime = Regular Rate Salary * Rate

RM173.07 * 0.5 = RM86.53

3. OT more than 4 hours > rate 1.0/full day's salary
__Situation:__

Qaasyaf's regular working hours = 8.30 am - 5.30 pm

Qaasyaf's regular working hours during regular working hours = 10.30 am - 5 pm

Total Regular Working Hours is 6 hours 30 minutes = 6.5

Qaasyaf's basic salary = RM4500

__How to calculate__

Step 1: Find Regular Rate Salary

Regular Rate Salary = Monthly Rate Salary / 26

RM4500 / 26 = RM173.07

Step 2: Calculate Overtime

Overtime = Regular Rate Salary * Rate

RM173.07 * 1.0 = RM173.07

4. First 8 hours rate 1.0 & Rate after 8 hours 2.0
__Situation:__

Qaasyaf's regular working hours = 8.30 am - 5.30 pm

Qaasyaf's additional working hours = 10 am - 8.30 pm

Total Additional Working Hours is = 10 hours 30 minutes = 10.5

Qaasyaf's basic salary = RM4500

__How to calculate__

Step 1: Find the Hourly Rate Wage (HRP)

(Monthly Rate Wage / 26) / Standard working hours

RM4500 / 26 / 8 = RM21.63

Step 2: Find the Ordinary Rate Wage (ORP)

RM4500/26 = RM173.07

Step 3: Calculate Overtime (For 8 Hours)

Ordinary Rate Wage * Rate

RM173.07 * 1.0 = RM173.07

Step 4: Calculate Overtime (For 2.5 hours)

Hourly Rate Salary * Total Overtime Hours * Rate

RM21.63 * 2.5 * 2.0 = RM108.17

Step 5: Calculate Total Overtime

Step 3 + Step 4

RM173.07 + RM108.17 = RM125.24

5. Rate 2.0
__Situation__:

Qaasyaf's normal working hours are 8.30 am - 5.30 pm

Qaasyaf's normal working hours during normal working hours are 10.30 am - 5 pm

Total Normal Working Hours are 6 hours 30 minutes = 6.5

Qaasyaf's basic salary is RM4500


__How to Calculate__

Step 1: Find the Hourly Rate Salary (HRP)

(Monthly Rate Salary / 26) / Standard working hours

RM4500 / 26 / 8 = RM21.63

Step 2: Calculate Overtime

Hourly Rate Salary * Total Overtime Hours * Rate

RM21.63 * 6.5 * 2.0 = RM450

| Operating Hours During Public Holidays

6. Rate for first 8 hours 2.0 & Rate after 8 hours 3.0
Situation:

Qaasyaf's normal working hours 8.30 am - 5.30 pm

Qaasyaf's additional working hours 10 am - 8.30 pm

Total Additional Working Hours is 10 hours 30 minutes = 10.5

Qaasyaf's basic salary RM4500

__How to Calculate__

Step 1: Find Hourly Rate Salary (HRP)

(Monthly Rate Salary / 26) / Working hours standard

RM4500 / 26 / 8= RM21.63

Step 2: Calculate Overtime (For 8 Hours)

Hourly Rate Wage * Total Overtime Hours * Rate

RM173.07 * 2.0 = RM346.15

Step 3: Calculate Overtime (For 2.5 hours)

Hourly Rate Wage * Total Overtime Hours * Rate

RM21.63 * 2.5 * 3.0 = RM162.25

Step 4: Calculate Total Overtime

Step 2 + Step 3

RM346.15 + RM162.25 = RM508.40
